Alpha Stim

I continue to improve. Dr. Massoumi has introduced me to a device that has changed my life! It is called Alpha Stim and when hooked up to my ears produces alpha waves (happy, peaceful waves) to combat the brain's beta waves (depressing, insomnia, anxiety producing waves). Since I started using this device daily I have been able to fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. This has not happened in over 20 years! I feel much less anxious overall. So, so thankful.

I have not gotten any IV's this summer because I have not really needed to. My energy (aside from needing naps) is great. I have bad neck pain and headaches. I am in PT to try to strengthen my neck muscles and have been getting trigger point injections to relax the shoulder muscles and knots. My kids don't refer to me as "sick" anymore but rather tell people "mom is getting better."

Lots of people are asking what I attribute it to. I don't think it was any one thing. There have been so many things God has put in my life from doctors to supplements to essential oils. One thing I am sure of is that all the praise goes to Him.

My 8 month absence

I have not written in so long. But, I have a reason...I have been busy getting better. :) I am not back to where I was pre-mono, but I have come a long way. My body still prefers 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep at night along with an afternoon nap. But, aside from those times my energy level is pretty good! I have started feldenkris (gentle movements and exercises) to retrain my body on how to use my muscles. I also got a bit splint from Dr. Ray in Sterling heights which has improved my headaches tremendously. I have switched from getting Meyers Cocktails to peroxide IV's. I'm down to once ever other week! My thyroid has still not been resolved after much trial and error. Even though my body is low in progesterone it can't handle oral or transdermal progesterone without major acne. And I'm still having constipation issues. Aside from all those things my body can handle much more movement and stressful situations without pooping out so fast. Here is a list of the supplements I am currently on: Ortho Digestzyme, DFH Complete Multi, COQ10, time release melatonin, quick release sublingual melatonin, oregano oil, magnesium malate, Cerenity, Feverfew, raw vitamin C, D-Mannos, Integrative Therapeutics Laxative Formula, Vitamin D, stress tabs by Shaklee, NAC, adaptogen, Aciophilus, PS 100. Script wise (specifically for chronic fatigue) I am doing biweekly injections of C-Hydroxocobalamin (vitamin B12) and armorthroid. I recently did 23andme and found the results to be very helpful. More on that in the next post. Feel free to leave questions or comments. I am feeling well enough that I would love to help others when I can.
